Dinamo is rocked by the first crisis of this season. Marija Kovačević’s team has two defeats in the last three league games, and Luka Stojković and Moris Valinčić were seriously injured in the defeat against Vukovar.
He expects the Blues on Saturday in Maksimir duel with current champion Rijekaand for he plays against Celta in Zagreb for a week in the fourth round of the Europa League.
A bad series of results and an awakened Hajduk caused doubts. And in the Dinamo coach, but also in the depth and quality of the staff. It’s no secret that the fans are not satisfied with the solution in several positions, and even the never-before-seen Boban purge in the summer did not manage to fix all the problems.
Problems in goal
One of the biggest problems is in goal. It was written more than once about how Dinamo had last season worst goalkeeper in the league by all metrics. However, a new goalkeeper was not brought in, Nikola Čavlina was sent on loan, and the unit was entrusted to Ivan Nevistic.
But so far it seems like it in Dinamo’s goal, there is no big improvement compared to last season. Nevistić had a few hiccups, but most fans blame him even more for the fact that he rarely brings the team points with his great game. That is why the talk about the return of Dominik Livaković has been getting louder lately. That scenario isn’t impossible, but it has a few problems.
Livaković does not defend in Girona
Let’s remind, after he ended up on the bench in Fenerbahce, Livaković really wanted to find a new club to play in. He chose Spain’s Girona, but he was met with an extremely unpleasant surprise there and ended up in second place again.
Since he arrived in Spain, he did not defend in any of the seven championship games. He was supposed to make his debut in the cup against lower league Constancia two days ago, but he reported an injury. Some suspect that Livaković is not injured, but that he is opening up a chance for a transfer in the winter transfer window, writes Index.hr.
The catch lies in the FIFA regulations – a player may be registered for three clubs within one season, but may only play for two. As Livaković already played for Fenerbahçe this season, his eventual playing time in Girona would mean that he would not be able to play for any other club until the end of the season.
Livakovic has a desire to come. Dinamo is also interested
Contacts between Dinamo and Livaković always exist considering that the Croatian unit spent seven years of its career there. Livakovic has a great desire to join any club that plays at a serious level because his most important is the short-term goal remain in the first line-up of the national team at the World Cup in 2026.
From that perspective, he is ready to accept a much lower salary – after all, he already did that when he moved from Fenerbahçe to Girona. According to Capology, the Turkish club has about 3.5 million euros gross with bonuses.
There are two problems with the whole story. The first one is yes Dinamo would not want Livaković for only half a year. The only consideration is an agreement according to which he will remain in the club beyond that, instead of Dinamo keeping him at working temperature for the national team and some other employer.
Another problem could be Girona. The Spanish club strongly insisted on Livakovićhis coach convinced him of the club’s project and his role, but so far they have not kept any promises. In short, a few more important things have to come together, but Livaković in Dinamo for the winter is not an impossible mission.
