The Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Croatia has published a public call for co-financing the construction and reconstruction of sports buildings in 2026 for Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
By the way Public call for co-financing the construction and reconstruction of sports buildings in 2026 for Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina goals, criteria and procedures for the allocation of funds intended for the construction and reconstruction of sports buildings used by Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina are defined.
The projects will be co-financed from the funds State budget of the Republic of Croatia for 2026 and projections for 2027 and 2028.
Co-financing throughout BiH
The eligible area for co-financing the construction and reconstruction of sports buildings includes territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The subject and purpose of the Public Call are construction, renovation, maintenance, equipping and reconstruction of sports buildings in order to increase the number of accessible and organized sports facilities for Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This, as stated, aims to fulfill one of the basic prerequisites for the development of sports and the improvement of living conditions for Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Continuation of support for Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina
The Republic of Croatia, based on the Law on Relations of the Republic of Croatia with Croats Outside the Republic of Croatia, bases its relationship with Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina on mutual cooperation and assistance and strengthening their communities.
The law stipulates, among other things, that the Republic of Croatia stands up for the preservation and strengthening of the position and identity of Croats outside the Republic of Croatia and through sportsas well as encouraging and helping the organization of sports competitions and meetings of Croats outside the Republic of Croatia.
The Ministry of Tourism and Sports is the bearer of cooperation in the field of sports, and this Public Call represents the continuation of cooperation and support for Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Application deadline
Applicants can submit a project proposal from June 9, 2026 at the latest July 9, 2026 until 12:00 p.m.
