The Prime Minister of Zenica-Doboj Canton Nezir Pivić and the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Mirza Mušija organized a meeting with the students of three elementary schools in Zenica – Elementary School “Meša Selimović”, Elementary School “Vladimir Nazor” and Elementary School “Musa Ćazim Ćatić” – their teachers and representatives of the Gallery “Preporod” Zenica.
The gathering was organized on the occasion of the completion of the “Souvenirnica” Gallery project, realized in partnership with the Zenica Local Foundation.
The president of the Gallery “Revival” Zenica Amna Sofić pointed out that the goal of the project is to raise the awareness of young people about the importance of cultural and historical heritage, and that 22 students, making souvenirs in a creative way, spread a positive story about the beauty of the local community and the homeland as a whole.
The student Asja Mečkić said that they gained a nice experience through the project, while her schoolmates Arnel Džinić and Omar Spahić presented the prime minister with a box of souvenirs made in the “Souvenirnica”.
Minister Mushija emphasized the importance of preserving one’s own heritage and spreading positive stories about the homeland and the people who live in it, and thanked the students for participating in this project.
Prime Minister Pivić thanked for the visit and gifted souvenirs, pointing out that the project is based on enthusiasm and the desire to contribute to society and the community.
– This youth recognized the importance of participating in social activities. Giving something to the community is the greatest treasure. I congratulate you for taking your time, stepping away from everyday challenges, cell phones, technology and everything that is offered to you that is not the best for you. That’s why it’s important to hang out, help each other and be honest friends. Today, the greatest value is to have sincere friends – said Prime Minister Nezir Pivić.
