On Monday, a ceremony was held at the Brotnjo Hotel to announce the most successful athletes of the municipality of Čitluk for the past year 2025.
He organized the event for the 25th time Sports Association Brotnjawhose Committee for Awards and Recognitions in the preparatory period determined the categories and made decisions on the awardees in the categories.
The traditional sports event was held under the auspices of the Municipality of Čitluk and therefore addressed the audience in the introductory part of the program Ivica Jerkicpresident of the Čitluk Municipal Council. I will also congratulate all the athletes who work hard, but today they will not be recognized.
I’m sure that this kind of show can be an incentive to work harder and that they also be winners at one of the following announcements – said Jerkić and pointed out that the Municipality of Čitluk will continue to support sports primarily through investments in infrastructure such as the construction of school sports halls, renovation of the surfaces of school and other playgrounds and investments in other infrastructure.
In the plans for the upcoming period Ivica Jerkic he highlighted the project of warming up the City Sports Hall, the project of installing artificial grass on the field of ŠRC Jakerovac and the project of building a sports and recreation center in Bari.
Young athletes will feel the benefits from the improvement of the sports infrastructure the most, and at today’s ceremony nineteen sportsmen and women were awarded up to eleven years.

- Jozo Rozić – basketball player, member of HKK Brotnjo;
- Vedrana Soldo – basketball player, member of ŽHKK Brotnjo 94;
- Josip Dodig – tennis player, member of TK Međugorje;
- Brigita Živković – athlete, member of AK Brotnjo;
- Pavle Ubiparip – athlete, member of AK Brotnjo;
- Josip Prskalo – football player, member of HNK Brotnjo;
- Petar Primorac – football player, member of HNK Brotnjo;
- Ana Sulić – soccer player, member of ZNK Brotnjo;
- Ana Senkić – soccer player, member of ZNK Brotnjo;
- Ante Primorac – football player, member of NK Međugorje;
- Petar Krasić – soccer player, member of NK Međugorje;
- Ana Sivrić – karate player, member of KK Međugorje and
- Kristijan Prskalo – karate player, member of KK Međugorje.

Prizes for the most successful teams and special recognitions
As in previous years, the most successful teams were also awarded at the ceremony of announcing the most successful athletes organized by ŠS Brotnja. The award for the most successful pioneering team was taken by the team HRK Medjugorjefor the most successful team in the category of junior cadets, also a team HRK Medjugorjeand for the most successful junior team MNK Brotnjo.
For winning first place in the MNL MZ of the municipality of Čitluk and second place in the League of Herzegovina team MZ Donji Hamzići she was awarded a special award for her success in sports recreation. Basketball player Andrijana Mandarić – Nana she is the winner of the special award “Sports legend Brotnja”, and the winner of the special award “Bože Gagro Award” Perica Ostojića member of HRK Međugorje since its foundation.
