There will be 329 athletes and 345 athletes competing in 27 disciplines – 13 for men and 13 for women and one mixed relay.
As a reminder, at last year’s World Outdoor Championship held in Tokyo, Japan, which was held in September, only shot putter Mesud Pezer took part.
Pezer had fulfilled the norm based on the rating in his discipline, but in the qualifications he violated all three times and was left without a place. Pezer, however, decided to miss all the indoor championships this season, including the WC.
The best and most successful BH player missed the winter season. athlete in history, middle-distance runner Amel Tuka, who just from the WC, but outdoors, has two and only athletics world medals – bronze from Beijing (China) in 2015 and silver from Doha (Qatar) in 2019.
– Unfortunately, we will not have any of our representatives at this competition. Pezer and Tuka did not compete indoors this winter, and the others did not meet the norm – confirmed in a statement to Fena the general secretary of the Athletics Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mehemd Lokmić.
