The football team of Bosnia and Herzegovina will play against Wales in the semi-finals of the additional qualifications for the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico, it was decided today by drawing lots at the FIFA headquarters in Zurich.
The match will be played March 26 2026 in Cardiff, without return, for just one game. Through the playoffs, Europe will receive four more participants in the World Cup, and the national teams were placed in four strong groups.
The winner of this match in the final of additional qualifications will play with the better team from the match Italy – Northern Irelandand the winner of the Wales-BiH match was decided by lot to host the final match. The final match is scheduled for March 31.

Here, six national teams from five continents compete for two World Cup spots at the tournament in Mexico. The tournament will take place in March in Mexico.
The format of the European additional qualifications is such that the first group crosses with the fourth, and the second with the third. The national teams from the first strong group will host national teams from the fourth group in the semi-finals, while the national teams from the second group will play at home against the national teams from the third group.
