In this document, which is the official position of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina and all its constituent peoples and entities, the role of IDEE BiH is clearly confirmed in the digital transformation and public administration reforms, through:
- Implementation of a qualified electronic signature for remote signing, which and the citizens of BiH and the economy in BiH enabled the signature with the same legal force as a handicraft signature.
- Building the public infrastructure of cryptographic keys (PKI) and the role of the certificate in accordance with the Law on the Electronic Signature of BiH.
- Establishment of registration offices throughout BiH (Banja Luka, Sarajevo, Mostar, Bihać, Bijeljina), for easier accessibility and faster services to citizens and economies, and further expansion to other cities.
- Iddeea has authority to, except for their registration offices, the authority of other institutions and organizations (including MUPs and Banking Agencies) to perform registration affairs, with respect for strict safety standards
- International certification and internationally recognized certificates (EIDAS – SIQ Ljubljana), thus confirmed that the agency systems meet the highest European standards of security and data protection.
- Public campaigns and promotion of digital services, with the support of the EU Delegation to BiH.
We especially emphasize that these decisions are adopted with the support of all ministers in the Council of Ministers of BiH, including representatives of all nations.
This clearly says that the issue of legality, the legitimacy and strategic role of Iddeea BiH has already been considered and confirmed at the highest level of government. Just that is why the question arises, when do they actually represent individuals who persistently try to challenge what the state executive body unanimously confirmed?
Iddeea BiH remains dedicated to their legal mandate: data protection, digital identity development and modern services, and strengthening citizens and institutions. Our strength arises from the law and official decisions of the institutions of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, not from the personal attitudes of individuals.
Through the official documents and decisions of the BiH Council of Ministers, Iddee is recognized as a key institution in the digital transformation of BiH, especially in the segment of the electronic signature, public cryptographic keys (PKI) and the establishment of registration authorities. Its role is also highlighted in the context of harmonization with EU regulations (EIDAS) and support to digital services to citizens and economies.
