The men’s and women’s volleyball teams of Bosnia and Herzegovina will participate in the European League, which starts in June next year, the Steering Committee of the Volleyball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina decided.
According to the new rules of the CEV, the Golden and Silver Leagues are deleted from the system and from 2026 it will be played European Leaguewhich is much simpler and optimal for participants.
Participation in this competition was ensured by the BiH Armed Forces by restructuring the debt to CEV which blocked the work of BiH for years. volleyball and where Bosnia and Herzegovina found itself on the “black list” on the European stage.
Namely, the president of the OSBiH Anita Glibic at the session, she informed the members of the Supervisory Board about the payment of the Association’s debt to CEV from 256,640.10 KMbut also other conclusions of the meeting with CEV representatives during the General Assembly of the European Volleyball Association.
Glibić presented to the Board of Directors i the current financial situation of the Alliancewhere it was concluded that the Alliance has never done business better and more transparently and decisions were adopted on the appointment of working bodies and commissions that will improve the work of the Alliance, announced the OSBiH.
Also, the Management Board condemned the media appearances of the member of the Board of Directors and the president of the Federal Volleyball Association Alija Fatićwhich, as stated in the press release, he presented false information about the work of the Board and President Glibić.
Also, the Management Board concluded that it will contact the competent bodies of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the issue causing damage to reputation and work of the Volleyball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as because of the problem the continuous absence of three members of the Board of Directorswhich obstructs the work of the federation and disrupts sports activity and behavior, it is emphasized in the press release transmitted by Fena.
