Bayern Munich players confirmed their dominance in German football by winning the double crown, after winning the DFB-Pokal along with the Bundesliga title.
In the final played in Berlin, Bayern defeated the Stuttgart team with a score of 3:0 and won their 21st trophy in this competition, which further strengthened the status of the most successful club in the history of the German Cup.
The first half saw cautious play by both teams, without much excitement and with rare opportunities. Bayern did not completely dominate as in most of the season, and Josip Stanišić had the most dangerous moment, whose strong shot from distance was stopped by the Stuttgart goalkeeper.
The representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ermedin Demirović, played for Stuttgart from the first minute, and due to an injury, he left the field in the 83rd minute of the match with a painful grimace on his face.
The turnaround and Bayern’s lead came in the 55th minute when Harry Kane headed home from close range to give his team the lead. After the goal, Bayern controlled the game and kept the score, while Stuttgart did not manage to seriously threaten.
The key moment of the game came in the 80th minute when Kane extended the lead to 2-0 with a brilliant solo effort, scoring his 60th goal of the season in all competitions.
The final 3:0 was set in stoppage time, when the English striker scored a penalty and completed Bayern’s convincing victory in the final.
Stanišić left the field in the 94th minute, and Bayern once again confirmed their dominance in German club football by winning another big trophy.
