Bayern fans caused a scandal during the derby against Borussia after they brutally insulted club legend Jerome Boateng in the stands, telling him that “there is no place for thugs” at their club.
Bayern beat Borussia 2:1 in the derby of the 7th round of the Bundesliga on Saturday.
Vincent Kompany’s team celebrated with goals from Harry Kane in the 22nd minute and Michael Olise in the 79th minutewhile the scorer for the guests was Julian Brandt six minutes before the end.
He marked the match incident in the stands. Bayern fans openly turned on the club legend Jerome Boateng, who, after finishing his playing career, is studying to become a coach. Kompany offered him the possibility of professional development at the club, but the fans did not welcome it.
Banners with messages appeared on the stands:
- “Fuck off, bully!”,
- “Whoever gives space to the perpetrator, shares his guilt!”,
- “There is no stage for the perpetrators.”
With the protest, they reminded of the court verdict that Boateng received last year for of inflicting bodily harm on an ex-girlfriend.
Although Boateng continues to deny the allegationsBayern fans are known for their activism and have made it clear that they do not want people associated with violence in the club, reports Tportal.
