Following the Club’s decision to terminate its relationship with the European Super League and to formally apply for readmission, the EFC Board of Directors unanimously approved the re-inclusion of FC Barcelona, in accordance with the Organization’s Statute.
In the communication received, it was pointed out that the EFC President, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, personally presented the Club’s membership application to the Board of Directors at a meeting held earlier today, and emphasized the decisive role of Joan Laporte in the recent events that made it possible to reach this agreement. On this occasion, the Club would like to note the clear readiness and proactive commitment of Joan Laporta to the renewal of relations with EFC, which was crucial for the Club’s return to the status of a regular member.
EFC expressed its pleasure and honor to welcome back FC Barcelona as a regular member, and expressed its willingness to work closely with the Club to define the next steps and specify Barcelona’s role within the organization in this new phase.
FC Barcelona perceives this decision very positively and confirms its commitment to working together with other European clubs in the interest of football, its competitions and fans.
