On May 30 and 31, Karlsplatz in Vienna will be transformed into a large interactive zone of the future, and visitors will be able to learn about the latest achievements in the world of robotics, artificial intelligence and automation through numerous presentations, workshops and performances.

Visitors will have the opportunity to talk to humanoid robots, see autonomous machines in action, and learn about smart systems and innovations that are already changing industry and everyday life. The organizers announce a rich program for children and adults, with practical examples, conversations with experts and interactive content.
The festival is organized by the Technical University of Vienna (TU Wien) and AIM Group Austria, while the innovation agency of the City of Vienna, Urban Innovation Vienna, is behind the concept. The organizers expect a large number of domestic and international visitors, and the event is conceived as a combination of education, entertainment and presentation of future technologies to a wider audience.
One of the most interesting moments of the festival will be the world premiere of a fully autonomous robotic crane jointly developed by the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology and the Palfinger company. It is a technology that uses artificial intelligence, sensors and advanced control systems to perform complex tasks independently.
In recent years, Austria has positioned itself among the leading European countries in the field of robotics. According to current data, with 272 industrial robots per 10,000 employees, it is among the strongest industrial centers in the world when it comes to automation and robotics.
Special attention during the festival will be devoted to young people and families. The organizers want to show that robotics is not only reserved for experts, but that it can be understandable, useful and interesting for everyone. Through games and workshops, children will have the opportunity to learn the basics of programming and robot operation.
The robotics festival is part of the large educational project Future Fit Festival, which lasts until June 15 and is focused on future occupations, digitalization, sustainability and new technologies.
The entire event takes place right before the start of the prestigious international conference IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, the world’s largest gathering in the field of robotics and automation, which will gather more than 7,000 experts from all over the world in early June in Vienna.
The organizers say that the goal of the festival is not only to present new technologies, but also to bring robotics closer to ordinary citizens and open the question of how artificial intelligence and automation will shape society in the years to come, announced the Office of the City of Vienna in Sarajevo.
