Great success of the young Sarajka among almost 5,000 competitors from 38 countries
At the world championship IDO I Feel Dance, I Feel Slovenia, held last weekend in Ljubljana, thirteen-year-old Amina Haznadarević from Sarajevo achieved exceptional success by winning 4th place in the hip hop solo category among as many as 187 junior girls from all over the world.
The World Championship in hip hop, popping, breaking and hip hop battles is one of the world’s largest dance competitions that brought together more than 4,700 dancers from 38 countries around the world. Bosnia and Herzegovina was represented by 159 dancers from clubs from Sarajevo, Tuzla, Banja Luka, Pala and Sokoc.
Amina, a member of the Nika Dance Club, in addition to hip hop, also shone in the popping duo category, where together with Nafisa Džaferović, she took 7th place, which is another impressive result in the international competition.
“Being on that dance stage and representing Bosnia and Herzegovina was really an incredible experience, something that I will remember forever. A mixture of excitement, happiness, but also the responsibility to dance well, because the competition was strong. For me, winning 4th place is a huge success. I am grateful to the team from my Dance Club Nika, but also to the other dancers from Bosnia and Herzegovina who cheered for me that night. I eagerly await new performances and new acquaintances, because in the end, dancing and socializing are what what I enjoy the most,” said Amina after returning from Ljubljana.
Dance club Nika was founded in 2010 and today operates in Sarajevo and Sokolac, gathering around 120 members aged three to eighteen. 19 dancers from this club participated in the world championship in hip hop in Ljubljana, who won the right to perform through the national championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Jovana Vujučić, the club’s trainer, points out that moments like these are proof that hard work and dedication are always recognized:
“Of course, the results are important, but the most important thing for me is that the children develop self-confidence and love for dance. When they confidently go on stage in front of thousands of people, as Amina did now, it is an experience that gives them strength and shapes them for life.”
In a world where competition is huge, Amina Haznadarević’s success shows that with talent, dedication and love for what you do, you can achieve great results, no matter how small a country you come from.
