Based on the Rulebook on determining the criteria and methods of selecting students of the generation, the Teaching Council of the Mixed High School in Tešnje, at the session held on June 11, 2026, declared Amer Tala the student of the generation for the school year 2025/2026. year.
In the competition for this prestigious title were students Džejna Šeljmo, Azra Ramić, Benjamin Rahmanović, Suad Katardžić and Adin Sarač, who achieved remarkable results in curricular and extracurricular activities during their schooling.
Amer Talo was born on March 31, 2007 in Tešanj. He graduated from “Huso Hodžić” elementary school with excellent results and an average of 5.0, and even in that period he showed great interest in programming and working with computers, which significantly determined his further educational path.
After completing his primary education, he enrolled in the mixed secondary school in Tešnje, majoring in computer electrical engineering. During his high school education, he achieved exceptional results in competitions in mathematics, informatics and robotics at the school, cantonal and state level.
Among his most significant successes are first place at the Cantonal Informatics Competition, third place at the State Work Festival, as well as first place at the State Robotics Competition organized by UNDP. In this competition, in the competition of more than 20 schools from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina, the practical work of Amer’s team was declared the best. He also achieved notable results at school and cantonal competitions in mathematics and physics.
In addition to his school duties, Amer actively participated in numerous extracurricular activities, workshops and projects in the field of programming. His engagement in the “Creativity for Peace” project is particularly noteworthy, where he had a dual role – participant and lecturer. Through this project, he additionally improved his communication and presentation skills, gained confidence in public appearances and learned to argue his views and values.
During his high school education, he gained valuable experiences, new knowledge and friendships that, as he points out, he will remember for the rest of his life. In his spare time, he plays recreational football.
After finishing high school, Amer plans to enroll in the Faculty of Information Technologies (FIT) in Mostar, where he wants to continue his academic training and professional development in the field of information technologies.
