The Monte children’s festival, held on Wednesday in Zrinjevac Park in Mostar, organized by the Zdrav život – KINEZIS Association, gathered around 500 children through sports, educational and entertainment activities with the aim of promoting a healthy lifestyle, physical activity and sports among the youngest.
With sports part of the program children and parents had the opportunity to enjoy numerous educational, entertaining and promotional content.
Franjo Lovrić from the Association Zdrav život – KINEZIS pointed out how it is Monte Children’s Festival originated from the Monte race for children, through which, as he says, they recognized an opportunity for additional promotion of the importance of physical activity, sports and a healthy lifestyle among the youngest.
Through the Monte children’s festival, we wanted to highlight it additionally the importance of movementsports and promotion of sports teams from the area of Mostar. That is why today, in addition to children’s races intended for preschool and lower school age, we also have presentations Herceg Rugby Club, Mostar Chess Club, TikaTaka Women’s Football School, Apfel Arena Football School from Makarska and the Center for Technical CultureLovrić said.
He pointed out how it is goal of the festival encourage children to play sports, but at the same time offer them fun content through the magic show program and the performance of the clown Spartanka from Split.
According to him, the idea of the festival is to develop positive emotions in children towards sports and physical activity and encourage them to lead an active and healthy lifestyle.
There are no winners announced in the races because they are all children winners. All participants will receive finisher medals because we want to send a message that all children are equally important and that sport is not reserved only for the best children, but for all children, so that through this festival they can develop positive emotions towards sports and togethernesshe said.
Finally, he pointed out that the festival gathered approx 500 childrenof which 400 participated in races, while about a hundred were involved in other sports and entertainment activities of the program.
By the way, the festival was held as part of the project “Development of children’s sports competitions through cross-border cooperation BiH-RH”, which the Association Zdrav život – KINEZIS implements in partnership with the association SportAP from Makarskawith the aim of promoting children’s sports, a healthy lifestyle and international cooperation.
