Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi on Thursday invited international intermediaries to convince the Israeli side to suspend the fire, or at least reducing the intensity of the agreement on the end of the war in Gaza.
During the meeting with American envoys Steve Witkoff, Al-Sisi expressed concern about the continuation of Israeli strokes in Gaza, emphasizing that these actions “may not be in the spirit of the agreement.
On the same day, Al-Sisi spoke with the U.S. President Donald Trump, and he called him to attend the official ceremony in Egypt on reaching an arrangement of fire between Israel and Hamas, the office of President Egypt said.
The Egyptian leader pointed out the importance of consistent implementation of all stages of the agreement, and called on Trump to support and oversee his implementation, in order to ensure sustainable peace in Gaza.
