At the session of the Executive Committee, the Football Association of Serbia accepted Stojković’s resignation, which he submitted after the defeat to Albania in the World Cup qualifiers.
With this defeat, the Eagles reduced their chances of qualifying for the World Cup to theory.
The Football Association of Serbia will subsequently discuss Stojković’s successor on the bench.
Until now, the names of Veljko Paunović, who is currently without engagement, the strategist of Red Star Vladan Milojević and Dejan Stanković, the coach of Spartak Moscow, have been mostly mentioned in the media.
