The Governing Council of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina made a decision on the basic characteristics and design of convertible banknotes in denominations of ten, 20, 50, 100 and 200 KM.
Compared to previous decisions, certain changes in the appearance of some banknotes are visible.
On the back of the ten KM banknote, in the version for FBiH, there will be the motif of Steća Križevići. According to the decision from 2011, the motive was the Stećak of Radimlje. In the RS version, the motif of a loaf of bread remains. Shades of orange and blue will still prevail. In the FBiH version, the portrait of Mehmedalija Mako Dizdar remains, and for the RS, the portrait of Aleksa Šantić.
Different shades of gray-brown and green will prevail on the front and back of the 20 KM banknote. According to the earlier decision, the prevailing color is gray and brown in different shades. The portraits of Antun Branko Šimić (for the FBiH) and Filip Višnjić (for the RS) remain, as well as the motifs of the stećak Radimlja, i.e. the fiddle.
Different shades of orange and blue will prevail on the front and back of the 50 KM banknote. Until now, red and pink in different shades prevailed. The portraits of Muse Ćazim Ćatić and Jovan Dučić remain, as well as the stećka Zgošća (FBiH) and the illustration of the book, glasses and pencil (RS) on the back.
Different shades of brown and purple will prevail on the front and back of the 100 KM banknote. Now brown color prevails in different shades with the presence of ocher color. The portraits of Nikola Šop and Petr Kočić remain, as well as the fragmet of the stećak Zgošća on the reverse, i.e. the motif of the book, glasses and pencil.
Different shades of blue and yellow will prevail on the front and back of the 200 KM banknote. Until now, the predominant color was blue with yellow and green present. The portrait of Ivo Andrić and the bridge on the Drina remain on the reverse. This banknote continues to be printed in one version.
The decision indicated that banknotes in circulation remain legal tender, and the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina will make special decisions on printing and putting new banknotes into circulation, it says. Factor.
