When, in the 85th minute of the match between Red Star and FCSB in the Europa League, Marko Arnautović made a painful face and left the field, it was clear that the situation was not good.
This was confirmed by the club a few days later.
– Crvena zvezda informs the public that our striker Marko Arnautović has suffered an injury and will not be available to the head of the coaching staff for the upcoming matches. After the examinations and assessment by the medical team, it was determined that it was an adductor injury and that the experienced striker will be out for up to four weeks. We wish Arnautović a quick and successful return to the field! – the club stated in the announcement.
The Austrian representative will miss a total of five matches and the very end of the autumn part of the season.
In the next four weeks, Zvezda will play four matches of the Serbian Super League against Čukarica, Vojvodina, TSC and Mladost.
They also have a duel against Sturm in the Europa League on December 11.
The atmosphere in the red and whites improved after the victory against the Romanian club in the European competition, but in the domestic championship the situation is not ideal, which is why Arnautović will surely miss the team.
