The Boston Celtics defeated Ivica Zubac’s Los Angeles Clippers 121-118 at home, which is their seventh loss in the last eight games, and Karl Matković’s New Orleans also lost.
Tooth played 33:38 minutes for the Clippers recording double-double performance with 16 points (6/10 field goal), 12 rebounds, two assists and one steal and block each. Jaylen Brown was Boston’s best scorer with 33 points, followed by Payton Pritchard with 30, eight of which were 3-pointers.
Boston is at one point led with as many as 24 pointsand after trailing all game, the Clippers cut the deficit to 119-118 when James Harden hit a three-pointer with 2.6 seconds left. After two free throws by Pritchard, Harden missed a three-point attempt to tie the game early. Harden finished the game with 37 points, eight assists and seven rebounds.
New Orleans basketball players they experienced a defeat on their home field, the visitors were better than them with 124-106 Golden State Warriors for whom it is the third victory in a row. The Warriors were led to victory by Moses Moody, who tied a franchise record with seven 3-pointers in the first quarter en route to a career-high 32 points.
Brandon Podziemski scored 19 points and Jimmy Butler III scored 18 for Golden State. Stephen Curry, who didn’t score until the third quarter, scored just nine points. The Pelicans were led by Trey Murphy III with 20 points and Jose Alvarado with 18, and Karlo Matković played 20 minutes, during which he scored four baskets on 2/3 shooting (0/1 three-pointers) and recorded two rebounds, three assists and one steal.
The most tense was in Salt Lake City where they are native Utah Jazz won with a high score of 150-147 after double overtime Chicago Bullsand the victory was secured by Keyonte George with a three-pointer 0.8 seconds before the end.
George finished the game with 33 points, and the best scorer was Lauri Markkanen with 47 assists.
This is Markkanen’s second game in a row with 40 points for the Jazz, Isaiah Collier added 16 points and nine assists, and Jusuf Nurkic had a game-high 14 rebounds. Josh Giddey led the Bulls with 26 points, 13 assists and 12 rebounds. Nikola Vucevic added 21 points and 13 rebounds. Matas Buzelis and Ayo Dosunmu scored 18 points each.
San Antonio Spurs were, even though they were without their best player Victor Wembanyama, outplayed at home 123-110 Sacramento Kings for whom this is the sixth consecutive defeat. De’Aaron Fox scored 28 points and dished out 11 assists against his former team.
Wembanyama missed the game for the first time this season due to stiffness in his left leg. San Antonio didn’t let up without their best player, leading by eight points at halftime before extending the lead to 19 points late in the third quarter.
Harrison Barnes added 20 points for the Spurs, while Devin Vassell finished with 16. DeMar DeRozan led the Kings with 27 points on 12-of-15 shooting from the field. Dario Saric did not compete for Sacramento.
