Zrinjski fans were attacked on a train in Frankfurt while returning from a match against Mainz.
On the night of Thursday to Friday (October 24) in Frankfurt, there was an incident on the train of the city line S8, at the station Frankfurt-Niederrad. According to German police reports, a group of masked attackers she attacked Zrinjski fans who were returning from the Conference League match between Mainz and Zrinjski.
Eye 150 fans of the Mostar club was on a train traveling from Mainz to the main train station in Frankfurt. When the first police units arrived at the scene, only Zrinjski fans remained on the train. The train then, with a police escort, continued its journey to the main station in Frankfurt, where around 100 fans of the Herzegovinian club were escorted out of the station in the presence of the federal and provincial police. There were no further incidents.
German police right now analyze videos security cameras from the Frankfurt-Niederrad station, which could help identify the attackers. The investigation is being conducted due to the disturbance of public order and peace, and it involves the Federal Police, the Hessen Police and the Prosecutor’s Office.
