The coach of Zrinjski Igor Štimac pointed out that his team enters the game exhausted after the European clash against Mainz, while from Borc they say that they are coming to Mostar relieved, but determined.
– Matches in the rhythm of Thursday – Sunday in continuity for a long time require enormous spending from the players. After returning from Mainz, we had that day on Friday for regeneration training, Saturday was free because the second day after the game you can practically do nothing with the players who have played the game and tonight is the training to see how they are, where we will only go through technical-tactical tasks in relation to the opponent coming to us – commented Štimac.
After about a third of the championship played, Borac has a four-point advantage over Zrinjski, which, according to Štimč, somewhat eases the situation of the team from Banja Luka:
– The fighter has four more points and that can be a psychological advantage, because they come to Mostar practically without any result load. It should be said that Borac has dominated most of the matches so far, except for the one setback against Želja. Only a couple of games they had some difficulties, I would say against Velež away and now against Posušje.
FK Borac say that they are aware of the importance of the match, but that their current position in the table allows them to have a calmer approach.
Borca’s coach Vinko Marinović pointed out that the goal is to maintain stability and continue with the good games that brought them to the top of the table.
– We are playing the first game of the season with Zrinjski as guests, but we have ambitions to achieve a positive result. Zrinjski is a good team, with a lot of experience and quality. It is up to us to be focused from the first minute to the last, with maximum discipline both in the defense and attack phase – said Marinović.
The match Zrinjski – Borac will be played today from 18:00.
