In the third part of the conversation with Zlatan Ibrahimović in the show (Failure of Champions: Special with Slaven Bilić), at Arena Sport, the legendary footballer also talked about whether there was ever a real chance to play for the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
– I had a BiH and Swedish passport, I chose to play for Sweden, because they wanted me. They were not looking for me from Bosnia, there was never anything concrete, said Ibrahimović.
He said that no one had ever specifically called him even from Croatia, when asked by Bilić that his mother was from this country.
– If they were looking for me in Croatia, I think I would have managed to win something with Croatia, the European or World Championship, he said.
