The players of Željezničar won a place in the round of 16 of the Cup of Bosnia and Herzegovina after defeating Sloboda tonight at the Tušanj stadium with a score of 2:0.
The hero of the Blues’ triumph was Enes Alić, who in the 88th minute of the match finally broke through the defense of Tuzla with a fantastic free kick.
Until that moment, the home team defended skillfully and resisted the attacks of Železničar almost the entire match.
The team from Grbavica had complete control over the game and possession, but the wonderful Nikola Milićević saved his team several times in the Sloboda goal.
Already in the 10th minute, he saved a shot by Joey Konings, and then attempts by Cvetanoski, Jaganjec and Alic until the end of the first half.
The situation did not change much in the sequel either. Željezničar continued to attack, while Milićević continued with bravura interventions.
The closest to a goal was Vini Peixoto in the 46th minute, but a Sloboda defender cleared the ball from the goal line at the last moment.
When everyone was already expecting penalties, Željo got a free kick from 18 meters in the 88th minute. Enes Alić took responsibility and masterfully hit the forks themselves for a big lead.
In stoppage time, more precisely in the 94th minute, Aleksandar Boljević makes the final 2:0 and confirms the passage of Željeznicar among the 16 best teams in the BiH Cup.
For Sloboda, this was the end of the road in this year’s edition of the most massive football competition in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
