The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, said today that 2.5 billion dollars (about 2.4 billion euros) of additional aid from the United States of America arrived at a “critical” moment.
“Every act of solidarity of our partners saves lives, strengthens our independence and strengthens our resilience. It also shows that democracies are stronger than autocratic aggressors,” Zelensky said, Reuters reported.
US President Joe Biden announced today 2.5 billion dollars in additional military and security aid to Ukraine.
US Treasury Secretary Janlet Yelen said that America has made available to Ukraine an additional 3.4 billion dollars (about 3.27 billion euros) in budget aid, which remains conditional on reforms in that country aimed at strengthening law enforcement, improving the transparency and efficiency of government institutions, and strengthening efforts in fight against corruption, reports “b92”.
