The central event on the occasion of the marking 5. October – the World Teacher Day in Zenica-Doboj Canton was held in the SE cultural and sports center in Zavidovići.
Nezir Pivić Prime Minister Nezir Pivić congratulated the teacher’s day, teachers, professors and educators, expressing deep gratitude for their dedicated work, effort and contribution to the education of future generations.
– It is especially pleasure to me that I am with you today on this special day – the teacher’s day, people who lead us to the second most important home after a family – school. The teaching profession is the foundation of all other professions. Thanks to you, knowledge, values and skills are transferred to young people, who are becoming drivers of the development of society tomorrow. That is why we are strongly dedicated to the issue of education in the Government. First of all, we take care of the material status of employees – they must be satisfied in order to pass knowledge in the best way and be adequately rewarded for that – said Prime Minister Pivić.
He added that in the past two years, since the current convocation of the government was appointed, the salary of educators increased twice, and announced a new, significant increase in the next year.
The President of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of BiH and the Cantonal Committee of the Primary Education and Education of the Silvedin Tartorović said that he could congratulate “our day” for all what educators work during all 365 days a year.
– that the educational worker is really respected in Zenica-Doboj Canton, the number of citnessions present on this event show. Only a satisfied teacher – without financial, existential and administrative problems – can be fully dedicated to the educational process. In the ZDK, we put the focus on students and teachers, and ensured that educators spend less time to administration, and more to quality teaching – said Tatorović.
The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the CRA Mush pointed out that the Department of Education is continuously, which is reflected in the institutional standards in education, as well as the promotion of teachers through support for their work, both in the curriculum and extracurricular activities.
– Being a teacher is not just an occupation. It’s a life call and the path you have to opt for not to work it than you live. Therefore, to be a teacher is a great responsibility, and a special honor and pride – the Minister of Mirzi Mušija emphasized.
