A cooperation between the Government of the Government of the Zenica-Doboj Canton and the football federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Cabinet of Prime Minister of Zenica-Doboj Canton. With this agreement, the Government obliged to participate in the financing of the conceptual design of the future national stadium, together with N / FS BiH, with a share of 49 percent.
The agreement was signed by the Prime Minister Nezir Pivić on behalf of the Government, while in the name of the football federal Association of BiH, the document initialed the Secretary General Adnan Džemidžić.
– It is great honor and satisfaction that we are part of such a significant project. The national football stadium, which will be built at the Bilo Polje Stadium site in Zenica, is not only an infrastructure, but also an identity project, because the history of Bosnian sports is being written here. This year, we decided to participate in the first step – financing the conceptual design. In the agreement, we also expressed a commitment that the following year, in accordance with the dynamics of works, the Zenica-Doboj Canton be an active partner in the implementation of this important project – Prime Minister Pivić said.
N / FS Secretary General Adnan Džemidzic pointed out that the signing of the agreement was the first major step towards the achievement of multi-year sleep – the construction of the national stadium in Zenica.
– This means a lot to us all. You know how much a football federation has developed from Zenica – from the training center to the idea of the national stadium. But it takes time. We will do everything you need from our part. We have strength, will and possibilities, and we will use the chance that appears to us, “said Jamidzic.
He added that after the preparation of the conceptual project, the main project will follow. The national stadium will be built on the site of the existing stadium Bilo Polje, through phase reconstruction. According to preliminary estimates, the capacity of the stadium could be increased by about 30 percent – a total of 20,000 seats.
From the Government of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, Bilo Polje is the Home “Dragons”, and we encourage and believe, and that “investments in its modernization sends a clear message – to believe in sports, in young people in the future.”
