The Spaniard Emilio Luskinjos Martinez, who won 1.2 million euros in the lottery, was found dead in his house in the city of A Coruña, the local police announced today.
Martinez, 68, won €1.2 million in Spain’s Bonoloto lottery three months ago, and his friends called the police when they couldn’t get in touch with him for several days.
Fire crews and the police found him in his house in A Coruña and the medical team pronounced him dead on the spot, the portal “20minutos” reports.
The exact cause of death is still unknown, but it is currently believed that Martinez died of natural causes.
According to the portal, Martinez had no family, and after winning the lottery, he invited friends to dinner and then bought tickets for a match of the Deportivo football club in Tenerife in December.
He also bought tickets for the FC Malaga match this Sunday, “24Sedam” reports.
