The Croatian handball team won the second round of the European Championship against the Netherlands with a score of 29:35 in the match played on Monday in Malmö.
They are meeting better opened by the Dutch and after five minutes they took s 4:2. A minute and a half later, Croatia managed to equalize at 4:4. In the continuation, the game was played goal for goal, with the fact that the Croatian handball players were the ones who scored a goal behind.
Chosen of Dagur Sigurdsson they move into leadership in the 19th minute when goals Ivan Martinović and Tina Lucina come to 8:10. With that result, the Netherlands earned i first exclusion in the match that Croatia took advantage of and through Cindric reached the +3. However, the Dutch manage to get back to -1, and then in the 26th minute, the same player again goes to a two-minute cooling-off – Taboada.
Due to the aggressive play of the opponents, Croatian handball players had a hard time finding a solution in the first half some serious difference so that we went on vacation with the advantage of Croatia 13:15.
The second half is better opened by the Netherlands and two connected hits there is a tie. The continuation of the match brought a similar balance of forces on the field as in the first half, but now the Netherlands was catching a one-goal deficit.
No team managed to seriously separate everything until the 51st minute when Croatia takes the initiative. Martinović’s goals go to 25:29, and then through Cindric and on +5 (25:30).
By the end of the match, the Dutch tried to catch up, but Croatia managed to resist the onslaughts of the opponents and in the end registered their second victory in this championship.
Croatia will play the next match on Wednesday against of Sweden of 20:30.
