Nermin Nikšić, Prime Minister FBiH, earlier this month has announced that system solutions for increasing pensions and improvement of the status of this category that currently lives on the margins barely connecting the “end of the end”.
Director of the Federal Pension and Disability Insurance Mio / Pio Halil Subašić held a working meeting with the Member of the Board of Directors of the FZ from the Association of Pensioners Esad, with a focus on the new pension reconciliation formula.
According to the Institute, the meeting discussed the possible proposal to amend the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance, with a special emphasis on changing the pension formula.
In this context, the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy formed a working group in charge of drafting proposals.
Different models and possible solutions were also discussed, which could contribute to the improvement of the position of pensioners in the Federation of BiH.
The meeting participants agreed on the importance of continuous dialogue and cooperation between the institutions and representatives of pensioners with the aim of ensuring a fairer and sustainable pension system.

“With one-time measures we plan to implement, create and systemic solutions that first imply increase in revenue that will make a significant increase in pensions realistic.
We will not generate revenue in any additional taxation, but by introducing the legal flows of the gray flows that have been tolerated for too long, all at the expense of the state and our citizens. This is precisely such reforms create a basis for safer and more stable pension payments in the future.
In cooperation with pensioner associations, we will try to reach the necessary legal changes to achieve the necessary value in real growth in pensions that would monitor the growth of salaries and lifestock. We approach reforms carefully, stage and without improvisation. We will not make measures that endanger the stability of the system, but we will continue to be a government that has the courage to make decisions that change things better.

New system of calculation of pensions
We are reminded, the Sergio of Pensioners has also proposed a new system of calculation of pensions – that the growth of the average salary participates from 70% in the growth of pension, while the consumer price would be increased, ie the consumer basket. This requires an amendment to Article 79. Law on Pio.
If the Federal Government meets the requirement of the Covenant of the pensioners, it would mean a significant increase in pensions. More precisely, the lowest pension would be from 800 to 850 KM.
Such an increase would, of course, require significantly higher amounts of financial resources, so the option is considered to be slightly lower, but still enough to enable a significantly higher increase in pensions, writes Focus.
