“We cannot ignore the fact that salaries under 1,000 KM nowadays are simply insufficient for a dignified life. Workers barely make ends meet, and their families feel the consequences at every turn. On the other hand, I also understand employers who need stable conditions in order to maintain business and secure jobs. That’s why I proposed an emergency session so that all of us, workers, employers, the Government and the Parliament of FBiH, would sit down at the same table. We must find a solution that will give everyone the opportunity to live and work with dignity. This is not a fight against each other, this is an opportunity to reach a compromise together that will make everyday life easier for everyone,” said Aliefendić.
He believes that workers deserve higher wages, and employers deserve conditions in order to be able to pay them.
“It is time to move things from a standstill and to show through specific legal changes that people are ahead of statistics and politics. Support this initiative, share your thoughts because only together we can make the changes that everyone needs!”, he believes.
The federal government made a decision to increase the minimum wage to 1,000 marks, without prior fiscal reform.
