Dinamo entered a mini-crisis. Coach Mario Kovačević connected two defeats, against Celta Vigo in the European League and against Istria in the HNL.
Two defeats alone are not a tragedy, but it is the way Dinamo plays.
The teams have already read Kovacevic’s ideas. Dinamo’s game became predictablewithout real solutions and reactions. So far, the coach has not shown that he knows how to improve what is not working. Instead of an already integrated system, which will have individual quality as icing on the cake, Dynamo depends on moments of inspiration from individuals.
The best example: Hoxha’s goal against Rijeka. Three points were scored, but the bitter taste remained to all Dinamo fans.
Boban has to decide
After another bad performance, the question arises: Will Zvonimir Boban admit his mistake? and start looking for a new coach in November? Stubbornness could cost him dearly. Likewise, last season’s wanderings with the coaches are still fresh in the memory.
Kovačević’s stay may be a good decisionbut only if clear changes are seen.
Winger Mateo Lisica at right back while Noa Mikić (right back) is healthy and fit, Bruno Goda in front of Perez Vinlof even though he is limited in forward play, the absence of play with two strikers and the persistent forcing of Nevistic, who too many times proved not to be good enough for the “unit” – are just some of the illogical decisions.
Dinamo is still standing solidly in the European League, and looking back with a few points minus the ever-improving Hajduk is not (yet) a sign of alarm. But there are too many questions, a We haven’t seen any solutions yet.
Ahead of us is a representative break, ideal time for cuts. The management of Dinamo has a big decision to make.
