At the emotional address during the public commemoration in Glendale, in the Federal State of Arizona, the widow of the right-wing activist Charlie Kirk said to forgive man accused that he killed her husband.
“My husband wanted to save young men, just like the one who took his life away,” Erika Kirk said in front of the audience that filled the stadium.
“To that man, that young man – forgive him. I forgive him because he did Christ and because Charlie would do it.”

In his speech at State Farm, Erika Kirk promised to continue the work of his husband as a newly appointed leader of the organization he founded – Turning Point USA.

Kirk was killed during his first appearance on the tour by universities called “American Comeback”. His death caused a fierce political debate on the power of words, decency, rising violence and freedom of speech.
