The annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) takes place from January 20 to 24 in Davos, Switzerland.
Davos once again welcomes global leaders to the World Economic Forum 2025, which this year is being held under the theme “Collaboration for an Intelligent Age”.
Discussions will cover geo-economic insecurity, artificial intelligence, reimagining growth and preserving the planet, among other topics.
Around 3,000 leaders from more than 130 countries are expected to attend. More than 350 government leaders, including 60 heads of state and government from all key regions, will also attend this mountain resort.
“If the gap between expectations and fears was evident last year, the context for Davos 2025 is no less conflicted. Geo-economic uncertainty, trade tensions, cultural polarization and climate concerns are present, but there is also the promise of rapid innovation – artificial intelligence, quantum computing and biotechnology – which will improve productivity and living standards,” the WEF said in a statement.

“This diversity is key to the Forum’s approach to ensure that the world’s most important topics are discussed at the widest possible level and solutions are developed with a diverse, cross-sectoral approach,” the WEF said in a statement.

The economic sector and communities of the Forum
About 1,600 business leaders, including more than 900 top executives and presidents from membership and partners of the World Economic Forum, will also participate. More than 120 of them are Global Innovators, Technical Pioneers and Unicorns transforming industries.
“More than 170 leaders from civil society and the social sector – from trade unions, non-governmental organizations, religious and indigenous communities, as well as experts and leaders from leading universities, research institutions and think tanks – will also attend,” according to the WEF statement.
More than 160 members of the Forum communities, including the Unicorn and Tech Pioneer communities, the Global Champions Community, the Young Global Leaders Forum and the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship will also attend to showcase local innovations and solutions to global challenges.
