Work, perseverance and family values. The company MADI, today the largest chicken producer in the region, was built on these foundations in Tešanj.
The production of chicken in MADI began in 2000, when the first steps were taken in the industry, which was completely new for this region at the time.
There were no beaten paths, no ready-made solutions. Today, more than two decades later, MADI is synonymous with domestic success. But the ambitions do not stop there.
“This is just the beginning,” says company director Maid Jabandžić, a representative of the generation that continues to develop what their parents created. In a conversation with our team, Jabandžić reveals that the biggest secret of success is investing in people.
The team of the Biznis.ba portal entered the heart of production. Before that, we went through strict control and disinfection procedures, because access to facilities that work according to the highest European standards is not possible without observing all safety rules.
In the production halls, temperatures range between six and twelve degrees Celsius. Each process is precisely defined, and quality control is present at every step.
From the receiving depot, through the stunner, the slaughter line, peeling and reparation, all the way to the cooling tunnels and finishing, the production works like a perfectly tuned orchestra.
Special attention is paid to hygiene. While the first shift is in charge of production, the second shift is dedicated exclusively to cleaning and disinfection. The process of maintaining hygiene standards lasts up to eight hours a day, after which the quality control teams carry out additional checks.
The figures are also impressive.
Products that pass through the modern freezing tunnel reach a temperature of minus 18 degrees Celsius in just 20 minutes. It is one of the most modern technologies used in the food industry in the world today.
As many as ten tons of finished products are produced in one shift. That is, for example, about 400 thousand kebabs.
While the public often talks about large foreign investments, MADI shows that the biggest investors among us are domestic businessmen, domestic capital and companies that have been creating new jobs and developing the country’s economy for years, and MADI is, together with its seven successful companies, the biggest investor in Bosnia and Herzegovina, they write.
