The Prosecutor’s Office of the Tuzla Canton issued a statement regarding the investigation into the fire at the Retirement Home in Tuzla, which, according to the latest information, claimed 17 lives, saying that the investigation in that case is their priority and that “the public’s expectations that such a complex and complex investigation can be completed in an express time frame are unrealistic”.

The investigative team of prosecutors and investigators of the Criminal Police Sector of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) of the Tuzla Canton is conducting intensive and extensive investigations day and night in connection with the fire in the Retirement Home in Tuzla, as a result of which 17 users died and more than 30 people were injured, the Tuzla Canton Prosecutor’s Office announced.
Numerous investigations are underway, analysis of obtained material documentation and hearings of a large number of witnesses, as well as extensive expert reports by a team of construction and architectural experts and fire protection experts, who also perform on-site inspections.
The work on this complex and complex case, considering the nature of the event and the tragic consequences, is an absolute priority in the work of prosecutors, investigators and experts, with their maximum commitment.
Investigative activities will continue to be conducted with full priority and in the shortest possible time, it says Radio Sarajevo.
