The army says it has applied lessons learned from previous releases of Palestinian prisoners.
The IDF points out that it will work to prevent celebrations and processions when the prisoners are released. Shin Bet agents made warning calls to the families of those who should be released.
In addition, the IDF is beefing up troops and strengthening defense efforts in the West Bank to prevent possible attacks.
The Central Region Command is also preparing to carry out offensive actions in the West Bank to prevent Hamas from establishing a foothold in the area after the release of its members.
