Van Dijk also had to talk about this, stressing that it is not his role to force Salah to apologize or to determine who is obliged to make a public announcement.
“Of course it’s difficult. We’re all in a collectively difficult situation. Certain things are happening between Mo and the club. That’s the reality. I don’t think anything changes in our concentration and determination to achieve results for the club. I’m not the one who should say if someone should apologize. He just expressed his feelings,” Van Dijk said.

During an interview with Amazon, Clarence Seedorf suggested to Van Dijk that Salah should apologize, but the captain had a clear view.
“I’ve known Mo for a very long time. We’re good friends. We’ve been through ups and downs. He was a big part of my success at the club, as I was part of his.
