The Government of Croatia, in co-organization with the Croatian Handball Association, will organize a reception for the bronze handball players at Ban Jelačić Square at 6 p.m., and they have invited all citizens to join, Minister Tonči Glavina confirmed.
“The city of Zagreb said no to welcome, no to handball players, no to sports, the government says yes,” said Glavina.
When asked if Thompson will perform, he said that all handball players’ wishes will be fulfilled.
By the way, the Law says that any occupation of public space requires the consent of the City of Zagreb.
“They didn’t even ask for our consent”, said the city authorities within 24 hours after the Government’s decision that they organize the reception of the handball players.
