The Croatian sports club Zrinjski Mostar has published a UEFA report on the evaluation of the stadium.
As stated in the press release, through the official report of the Disability Access Advisor, UEFA expressed an extremely positive assessment of the accessibility of the HŠK Zrinjski Stadium for people with disabilities.
In UEFA’s on-site evaluation, it was particularly highlighted strong and sincere commitment of the Club creating an inclusive and accessible environment for all fans, including people with disabilities. Despite the fact that the stadium currently has only one grandstand and is among the smaller stadiums in European competitions, HŠK Zrinjski Mostar secured a large number of seats for people with disabilities, both in the home and away sectors, which UEFA assessed as an exceptional achievement.
The report expires fully accessible entrances and exitsclearly organized access routes, secured parking spaces, functional “drop-off” points, an unobstructed view of the pitch from the platform for wheelchairs, and sanitary facilities in accordance with UEFA regulations for home and away fans. It’s special praised the integration of fans with disabilities within their fan sectors, thus fully respecting the fundamental principle of equality and belonging.
UEFA also emphasized how they are hospitality areas of the stadium fully accessible to people with disabilities, which is a rarity even in much larger European stadiums. Although the catering points are not fully adapted at the moment, the Club has successfully compensated for this with a seating service system for people with disabilities.
The report also includes recommendations for further improvements, such as reduction of the slope of the ramp in the domestic sectoradditional marking of the place with the international symbol of disability (ISOD) and the construction of a permanent accessible toilet for visiting fans, which will be taken into account by the club.
Special praise is addressed to the Club’s employees, whose dedication, expertise and personal engagement in working with fans with disabilities are highlighted as key factors in the high level of accessibility at the stadium.
In conclusion, UEFA pointed out that HSK Zrinjski Mostar shows extremely high commitment values of equality, inclusiveness and respect and represents a positive example within the UEFA family. The club hereby confirms that it will continue to develop the stadium and club processes in the future in accordance with the vision of football accessible to all, the club’s press release states.
