Croatian coaches Krunoslav Jurčić and Zlatko Dalić are candidates for the International Federation for Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) awards in 2025, the organization reported from its headquarters in Zurich.
Since 1987, the IFFHS has been organizing the selection of the best football players in various categories for their performances from January to December.
Jurčić is thus in the category for the best club coach in the world in 2025 after being with the Egyptian Pyramids won the African Champions League and the Super Cup. He is competing with 19 coaches such as Luis Enrique, who won the European Champions League with PSG, and Hansi Flick, who won the Spanish league cup with Barcelona.
Last year he won that award Carlo Ancelotti after winning the Champions League with Real Madrid.
Croatian coach Dalić is among the candidates for the best coach of national teams. Among the 25 competitors is Tony Popovic, the coach of Australia of Croatian origin.
Last year, the Spanish coach Luis de la Fuente received the award after winning the European Championship.
Winners will be announced after December 10th by the decision of an international jury composed of IFFHS members (sports journalists and football experts) from 120 countries from all continents.
IFFHS deals with the chronological documentation of world football results and data. It publishes statistical data to determine the ranking of teams, leagues, coaches, players and referees.
