Turkish Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu announced that on May 27, 2026, a total of 13,513 people reported to health institutions due to injuries sustained during the slaughtering of sacrifices on the first day of Eid al-Fitr.
Memişoğlu published the information on his social media account, calling on citizens to be more careful throughout the process.
“On the first day of Eid al-Fitr, a total of 13,513 people reported to our health care institutions due to injuries sustained during the slaughter of the sacrifice,” Memişoğlu wrote.
In the same announcement, he made an additional appeal to the citizens and thanked the medical staff engaged during the holiday duty.
Memişoğlu stated: “We urge our citizens to be more careful throughout the process and wish a speedy recovery to our injured brothers and sisters. I sincerely thank all our health workers who worked diligently during the holiday duty.”
