Trump has sharply criticized the previous agreement, known as the JCPOA, which was struck by the Barack Obama administration with Iran. He described it as an “easy, nice, smooth path to nuclear weapons” and asserted that if the deal had remained in place, Iran would have had nuclear weapons six years ago and “would have used them long before now.”

He described his new deal with Iran as the complete opposite. “My deal with Iran is the complete opposite, A WALL TO NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS!”Trump wrote.

Trump also announced future steps: “At the appropriate time, when everything calms down, we will go in and take the nuclear dust, buried deep under the mighty submerged granite mountains, thanks to our beautiful B-2 bombers and their brilliant pilots, and dilute and destroy it, either in Iran or the United States.”
In the conclusion of his announcement, Trump expressed optimism about future cooperation.
