“A little bit of this and that. Whenever I want it to end, it will end,” Trump said during a brief phone interview.
The conflict began almost two weeks ago with US and Israeli attacks on Iran aimed at dismantling Iran’s military capabilities and nuclear program.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said on Wednesday that the joint bombing campaign with the US against Iran would last “as long as necessary”, insisting that the strikes had inflicted heavy casualties on Iranian forces.
“This operation will continue without any time limit, as long as necessary, until we achieve all objectives and decide the outcome of the campaign,” he said, adding that Iran’s leadership was fleeing “like mice in tunnels.”
Katz added that attacks will continue in Tehran and across the country “day after day, target after target.”
