US President Donald Trump, in his address via video link, repeated in Davos his intention that all NATO member countries allocate five percent of their GDP for defense.
“I will also ask all NATO countries to increase defense spending to five percent of GDP, which should have been years ago,” Trump said.
“It was only two percent and most nations didn’t pay until I came. I insisted they pay, and they did, because the United States really paid the difference at the time,” Trump concluded.
The US president emphasized the intention of the US to harmonize relations both domestically and abroad.
