US President Donald Trump left an interview for NBC television after a heated argument with journalist Kristen Welker, during which he made a series of accusations against the media and the election process in the United States.
The incident occurred during a taping of “Meet the Press,” when Trump responded to questions about allegations of election irregularities in California, claiming the election was “rigged” and that electoral bodies were “corrupt.”
In the continuation of the conversation, Trump criticized the American media, including NBC, ABC, CBS and CNN, accusing them of bias and negative attitude towards him. At one point he told the journalist that she was “either corrupt or stupid”, after which the discussion further escalated.

After that, the US president decided to end the interview and leave the recording, despite the journalists’ attempts to keep him and ask additional questions.
In the same interview, Trump also spoke about the situation in the Middle East, where he commented on the conflicts in Lebanon and Gaza and Israeli military operations, stressing that he would support “more precise strikes” on Hezbollah positions.
He also said that he does not plan to unfreeze Iranian assets without reaching an agreement with Tehran, and that the United States must maintain a firm position in the negotiations on Iran’s nuclear program.
The incident further raised tensions between the US administration and part of the media scene, which have long been accusing each other of bias and political influence.
