U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed that the Rapper Sean Diddy Combs asked for a pardon. He was recently sentenced to 50 months in prison for transporting people through state borders for prostitution purposes.
The legal team of Sean Diddy Combsa was contacted by the Donald Trump administration in August regarding the request for pardon, but the White House then refused to comment.
The federal court in New York in July declared Combs guilty of transporting persons through borders for prostitution, while exempt from severe charges for criminal ferrousness and human trafficking, for which he could receive a lifetime sentence.
He was recently sentenced to 50 months in prison, although he faced a maximum of 11 years.
Combs Lawyers warned of “inhumane conditions” in prison, including food violence and problems.
Donald Trump told CNN that many requested his pardon, including Combs. Still, he previously hinted that he would probably not approve the pardon, reminiscent of the bad relationship they had after his presidential candidacy.
Combs are looking for and transfer to the Federal Prison of Safety, where he could have access to family visits and rehabilitation.
