A judge in New York on Friday upheld Donald Trump’s conviction in a hush money case, rejecting the president-elect’s attempt to overturn a jury’s verdict on his November election victory, and scheduled sentencing for January 10.
Judge Juan Merchan said Trump could attend the sentencing in person or virtually. In May, Trump was found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business documents, it says CNN.
Trump’s lawyers have previously indicated they will appeal any sentencing decision before the Jan. 20 inauguration.
