US President Donald Trump said today that he will issue a single set of rules for the regulation of artificial intelligence (AI) that will be valid in all 50 US states, Anadolu reported.
– There must be only one rule if we want to continue leading the way in the field of AI – Trump wrote on his social network Truth Social.
– At this moment, we are winning all the states in this race – he pointed out, stressing that this advantage will not last if all federal states join the “rules and approval process”.
Trump added that fragmented regulations at the state level would cause AI to be “destroyed in its early stages.”
To prevent that, he announced that he would issue a “one rule” executive order this week.
– You can’t expect a company to get 50 approvals every time it wants to do something. That will never work – he added.
