The President of the US Donald Tramp (Trump) on his social network from yesterday informs his trade partners about reciprocal customs rates that will take effect from 1. August.
He announced that the countries associated with “Brics anti-American policies” face with additional customs of 10 percent, with a sharp warning that there will be no “exceptions”.
He has published numerous letters, and the first two were sent to Japan and South Koreans in which he was discovered that the US would introduce the customs rate of 25 percent.
The third letter was sent to the Prime Minister of Malaysia, and then followed letters to the heads of other countries, including Kazakhstan, South Africa, Laos, Myanmar, Tunisia, Indonesia, Thailand, Bangladesh, Serbia, Cambodia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
For Bosnia and Herzegovina, the letter states that the relationship is “far from reciprocal”.
– Starting from 1. August 2025. year, Bosnia and Herzegovina we will charge customs from just 30 percent to all products sent to the United States, separate from all sectoral customs – written in the Presidency of BiH.
He said that the United States agreed to continue cooperation with BiH, despite the significant trade deficit.
– Please understand that the number of 30 percent is far less than what is needed to remove the difference in the trade deficit we have with your country – he cited.
And while BiH has received duties of 30 percent, the Republic of Serbia received a customs from 35 percent, Japan 25 percent. Here are what country are listed in the third round of customs, writes Avaz.
